GAA PALESTINE
We welcome volunteers from Ireland and abroad to support our mission bringing Gaelic games to the people of Palestine.
Things to consider before deciding:
- Motivation & Intent
- Why do you want to volunteer in Palestine?
- Are you aware of the political and social context?
- Relevant Skills & Experience
- Language skills: Arabic is helpful but not mandatory. English proficiency is often sufficient.
- Previous volunteering: Prior experience in international or crisis settings is a plus.
- Any relevant professional background.
- Safety & Risk Awareness
- Understanding of travel advisories and local regulations.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and respect checkpoints.
- Willingness to undergo orientation on cultural norms and emergency procedures.
- Emotional & Cultural Resilience
- Adaptability to unfamiliar environments and limited resources.
- Respect for local customs, religion, and traditions.
- Capacity to handle emotionally intense situations, especially in humanitarian roles.
- Documentation & Logistics
- Valid passport and visa eligibility. Some nationalities may face entry restrictions or require special

- Commitment to the duration of the program. Some placements require a minimum stay of 2–4 weeks.
