New Lead Development Officer for GAA Palestine

GAA Palestine is delighted to welcome Garry McKinney into the role of Lead Liaison Officer, for GAA Palestine, bringing with him years of GAA experience along with fresh energy and passion for continuing the development of our clubs and growing opportunities for young people across the West Bank.

Garry played Gaelic football and considers the playing of sport to be a powerful tool which can open the door of opportunity to young people.

Garry played Gaelic Football for (Armagh &Club) and is currently involved with Teconnaught GAC in Co.Down

Garry is also an Armagh school teacher, published children’s author and human rights activist. In recent years, Garry has visited displaced people in Zaateri Refugee Camp. He currently advocates and fundraises for a variety of Palestinian educational projects.

As Garry steps into the role, we would also like to express our sincere mile buíochas to Conchúr Ó Cearúlláin for his tremendous work and dedication in helping drive the development of GAA Palestine clubs in recent years.

While stepping away from the Lead Liaison Officer role, Conchúr will thankfully continue his involvement as co-Liaison Officer with our South Bethlehem club, Sulaiman Zawahra CLG.
